Being a motorcycle roadracer myself, I was caught-up in realizing the moment captured in this piece. Racing at high speeds and virtually at your limit mentally and physically capacity for 40-minutes is all consuming . I had to take a deep breath after studying this piece, Very beautiful and great work.

Great Job!! I love the colors and it's realistic. I used to attend sportbike races at Road Atlanta, and found it to be a photographers dream. What you have painted is truly fantastic..

Ian Hemingway replied:

Thank you so much Tanya, that means more than you'll ever know! That is so amazing, and bike racing most certainly is, I'd love to see Road Atlanta one of these days. Jealous! Thank you again, love that you think so!

About Ian Hemingway

Ian Hemingway

Thank you for stopping in, I Hope you enjoy my work. Born in Saskatchewan, Canada, Ian now lives and works in Upstate New York. His work often depicts a solitary figure, or a detail, captured in a fleeting moment, entirely removed from time and place. Figures are static, contemplative in posture and clad in both literal and figurative armours; it remains securely anonymous, revealed only in body language. This armour, externalized identity, is represented in clear focus; while the ground in many of his works, however, is...
